This past Memorial Weekend we helped to celebrate the lives of those who gave us the ultimate gift to keep “We The People” free from tyranny and harm.
The outdoor concert on a sweltering afternoon was interrupted by a typical Tampa Bay rain storm, but it did not spoil the celebratory atmosphere at Pioneer Park.
Our Director was in the UK for a family emergency, so DCB Member Philip Wilson gracefully stepped onto the podium and did a fabulous job keeping all the players together, and narrator Bob Wells did a terrific job keeping everyone entertained! Thanks to all who stepped up to share live music in our community.
There was also a special guest appearance by John R. Nalezny, Lieutenant Colonel, USAF (Ret.)
If you could not make the performance, below is a glimpse of what it was like (including clips of the arrival of a WWII vehicle that was built in Dunedin)
